Playfable is a storytelling company based in Auckland, New Zealand. Playfable began in late 2022 and was officially incorporated in early 2024. The company was founded by Luke and Damien, who met through a mutual friend while collaborating on an animation project for a U.S. streaming platform. Luke's passion for art and animation was sparked by classic Disney films like Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty and The Emperor's New Groove. Meaningful stories like The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Last of the Mohicans and Road to Perdition were also influential.
